The residential district of Norton Tower stands at the top of a millstone grit escarpment that extends above the Halifax Town Centre. As its name suggest it forms an area of strong prominence with a popular cross-section of houses suitable for all purchases. Over the past 50 years therefore it has been a growing residential district but enjoys immediate access to the surrounding countryside and it overlooks the ever-popular village of Warley beneath, it is bordered by the open moorland areas of Roils Head and West End Golf Course, which in its former years was home to Halifax’s Race Course.
